PokemonGO is an app that allows you to catch Pokemon while you are walking and out and about. You have to be active to catch the Pokémon, because they are all over your town and you have to go to places to find and catch them.
Personal data collected
PokemonGO collects personal information from you when you use some of their services, such as name, email address, mobile number, postal address, photos uploaded (and the metadata within them), payment information and billing address (if you purchase a product or service through them), age, date of birth, gender, country of residence, hobbies, and toy and game preferences.
They also collect some information automatically, such as device type, operating system type, browser type, device ID, IP address, usage data, referral URLs, when you used their services and for how long, pages and content that you accessed, features you used on their services, location information, and GPS.

Cookies and similar tech
PokemonGO uses cookies, web beacons, local storage, device IDs, and other similar technologies. They place cookies on your device when you visit their website, which allows you to easily navigate their website, remember your preferences and interests, and track your online activities over time and across different websites and services.
They use web beacons to request information from their servers or third-party servers to allow download of content and information. They can also use web beacons to set and read cookies, and determine if you opened and clicked on a link in their email sent to you. Device IDs are unique device identifiers that allow them to track activities and usage of their services, such as how you use their mobile apps. They also collect and store personal information on your device using local storage mechanisms, which allows data to be stored across web browser sessions. This information is collected for customer support purposes and to send you more relevant marketing.
If you decide to disable cookies, their website and app may not function properly. They do not respond to Do Not Track signals.
PokemonGO account
A PokemonGO account allows you to play their game on their app, and catch Pokemon all around the world, wherever you travel. If you decide to delete your PokemonGO account, the process is irreversible and you won’t be able to get your Pokemon back, or reuse your email address or nickname once your profile is deleted.
