How we verify people and firms

Stripe identity checks for people who post, state-by-state bar license checks for firms, and what a verified badge does and doesn't mean.

Important information

Advicey.com is an advertising marketplace. It is not a law firm or a lawyer referral service, and it does not give legal advice.
Using Advicey does not create an attorney-client relationship. A relationship exists only if you and a firm sign a retainer.
Bid cards and firm profiles are Attorney Advertising. Placement is paid. Advicey does not recommend, rate or endorse any lawyer.
No result is promised. Fee amounts, savings figures and examples are illustrations, not predictions. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Availability, fee types and features vary by state. Some states are not open yet.
Legal deadlines can be short. If you think you have a claim, talk to a lawyer promptly.
