Why post your case on Advicey
Post once, free. Licensed firms in your state compete for your case, every bid shows the most that firm will charge you, and you choose one firm or none. Every benefit, with its fine print.
Compare lawyer fees before you talk to anyone
Every bid shows the most that firm will charge you: a contingency percentage, a fee set by law, a flat fee, an hourly rate or a free consultation. Firms know they are competing, so you can see who offers better terms side by side.
Each firm sets its own fee. Advicey doesn't promise any firm will charge less than usual, and some cases get no bids.
Lawyers come to you
Describe what happened once. Firms licensed in your state that take your kind of case see a redacted summary and decide whether to bid. No calling firm after firm, no repeating your story.
Whether any firm bids depends on your case and on how many firms are active in your state.
Private until you choose
We remove your name and contact details before any lawyer sees your case. Only the one firm you pick gets them. Bid amounts are never shown to you or to other firms.
Don't put names, addresses or account numbers in your description; we also remove what we can find.
Licenses checked in official records
A firm can bid only in states where we checked its law license in that state's official records. Each bid shows the bar number and when it was checked.
A license check is not a recommendation or a rating. Advicey never rates lawyers.
A call within 24 hours of your pick
The firm you pick must contact you within 24 hours. If it doesn't, report it: the firm gets a strike, and you can pick again from the same bids at no cost.
Advicey can't make a firm take your case. Hiring is a choice between you and the firm.
Always free. Advicey takes nothing from your recovery
You never pay Advicey anything: not to post, not to pick, not out of a settlement. Firms pay Advicey for advertising.
What you pay a lawyer is between you and that lawyer, set in the retainer you sign.
No pressure, no obligation
You can pick one firm or none. Picking only lets that firm contact you. You decide whether to hire them.
Some legal claims have short deadlines. Waiting can cost you your claim; see the deadline tool.
Strength in numbers with Pools
When many people have the same problem with the same company, landlord or employer, they can join a Pool. Firms bid for the whole group and members vote for the firm.
A Pool is not a class action and joining doesn't guarantee a firm will take it.
Safe messages with your firm
Talk with the firm you picked inside Advicey. Every message is checked for common scams such as gift-card, wire or crypto payment requests, and you get an email alert for each new message.
Messages aren't a confidential lawyer channel. Use your firm's own secure system for case details.
Free tools before you call anyone
Check the usual filing deadlines for common claims in every state, and follow step-by-step checklists for a data breach letter, an insurance denial, unpaid wages, an eviction notice or a car crash.
General information, not legal advice. Exceptions often apply; ask a lawyer about your own deadline.

You see how it works
Every case page explains how firms get there, who pays and why the order is what it is. The Transparency page shows what happens on Advicey, in numbers.
Placement is paid advertising, labeled on every card.
For law firms
- ID-checked people, redacted cases. Every person who posts is ID-checked by Stripe. You see a redacted summary and choose what to bid on.
- Pay only if picked. In most open states you pay only if the client picks you, when we release their contact details. Not picked? The hold is released.
- Bid only where you're licensed. We check your license in each state's official records, and the card labels and disclosures follow that state's rules.
- A public firm profile. A flat monthly profile page ($99/month), never tied to referrals or hires. Featured placement rotates at random.
Important information
- Advicey.com is an advertising marketplace. It is not a law firm or a lawyer referral service, and it does not give legal advice.
- Using Advicey does not create an attorney-client relationship. A relationship exists only if you and a firm sign a retainer.
- Bid cards and firm profiles are Attorney Advertising. Placement is paid. Advicey does not recommend, rate or endorse any lawyer.
- No result is promised. Fee amounts, savings figures and examples are illustrations, not predictions. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
- Availability, fee types and features vary by state. Some states are not open yet.
- Legal deadlines can be short. If you think you have a claim, talk to a lawyer promptly.
